CK Group are recruiting for a General Manager to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire), on a permanent basis. This role will be fully onsite and requires outstanding organisational, communication, site leadership skills and an ability to manage our clients other site in the UK. An exiting opportunity that is expected to escalate to an Operations Director level in a rapidly growing environment.  

The Company:

Our client provides resources to the pre-clinical research market. They have contributed to the development of life-saving therapies and treatments for humans and animals.

The Role:

To lead and manage day-to-day ensuring efficiency and alignment with organisational objectives.

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and drive growth.

Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met while optimising resources
Responsibilities:

Being the point of contact responsible for the overall coordination of the site and management
Collaborate with the senior Executive team reporting the performance of business areas, meeting goals and objectives.
Ensure that the site runs with legality and conformity to meet all regulatory requirements.
Lead the site teams to meet the business and customer focused professional approach.
Supervising Managers and staff across departments through meetings and teamwork
Providing summary reporting site perspective progress reaching goals
Some EU travel may be required at intervals throughout the year
Your Background:

Degree qualified in Business Administration or relevant required field
Experienced and proven track record as a site manager or equivalent senior level position with in a Bioresearch/ Biotech sector
Knowledge of Industry’s legal rules and guidelines ASPA 1986 - advantageous 
Excellent leadership abilities
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles, supply chain, customer services, finance/ budget management
