Are you an experienced Logistics or Freight Coordinator looking for a new challenge? If so we would like to hear from you! TQR are recruiting for an ambitious and dynamic person to join a team based in Plymouth, for a business who provide multimodal logistics and freight forwarding solutions globally. Reporting to the Freight Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing air & ocean freight shipments from quotation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Processes shipments Air /Ocean / Road
  • Complete all relevant Import / Export paperwork, entering console data.
  • Complete HM Customs paperwork depending on mode of transport.
  • Complete HAWB’s, MAWB’s and IATA forms.
  • Deal with customer queries.
  • Arrange collections and deliveries of freight with haulage companies.
  • Provide Air /Road / Ocean quotations to customer.
  • Negotiate ad hoc rates with suppliers.
  • Invoice shipments and keying off of supplier’s invoices.
  • Ensure sufficient stationery is available for departmental needs e.g. airway bills and ocean bills.
  • Ensure Compliance to EU GDP 2013/C 343/01 Guidelines in Terms of Storage and Transport of Pharmaceutical Product.
  • Ensure Transport Temperature Control requirements are maintained through the various Routings of Air, Road and Sea, in addition to the Reporting of any Temperature Excursions while In Transit.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Supervisor.
    Essential Experience, Knowledge & Candidate attributes required:
  • Knowledge of Customs procedures along with Inward & Outward Processing Reliefs.
  • Experience of consolidations, HAWBs/MAWBs and IATA shipment procedures.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to handle customer queries tactfully.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Have the ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
    Desirable Knowledge and Experience:
  • Training in dangerous goods and knowledge of letters of credit would be highly beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
  • ASM / Chief system, NCTS.
