For the Ardena Business Unit based in Somerset (US), we are looking for a Formulation Development Technicians

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

YOUR ROLE

As a Formulation Development Technicians, you will be responsible for the development, optimization and execution of early-stage development batches manufacture in conjunction with Formulations Research & Development and Operations. These responsibilities include operating lab and pilot scale equipment focusing on Controlled Release and Hot Melt Extrusion technologies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine, cleaning set-up and operation, understanding of all machine controls/functions, ability to troubleshoot, etc. the following technologies at scales from 0.5kg to 25.0kg: Fluid Bed Spraying and Granulation, Hot Melt Extrusion, Encapsulation and/or Compression, Pan Coating Cooperate seamlessly with FR&D Scientists and Group Managers Show proficiency in gowning and use of PPE as required including potent compounds Weigh and transfer materials using calibrated scales and balances
Use various types of equipment to mix/combine materials for use in production

YOUR PROFILE

High School Degree or equivalent (GED) is required. Two-year technical degree or Associates degree is preferred. Prior experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotech or food manufacturing environment (regulated by GMP standards and requirements for at least 2+ years) is preferred; with specific experience in oral solid dosage manufacturing (blending, Hot Melt Extrusion, compression, pan coating, fluid bed, or encapsulation manufacturing processes). Minimum of 2-5 years experience with process equipment at scales from 0.5kg to 25.0kg such as, Fluid Bed Spraying and Granulation, Encapsulation and/or Compression Pan Coating, HME is a plus Soft skills that align with our CARE values- Communicative, Accountable, Reliable, and Excellent.
