Fit Out Project Manager - Data Centre - East London

A leading mission critical contractor is actively seeking a Fit Out biased Project Manager to lead a large data centre fit out package in East London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of London’s flagship data centre projects and join a company that is in a period of serious growth right across Europe.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing internal fit outs of data centres from frame stage through to client handover, must have in depth knowledge of services and strong ability to work in a fast paced environment to ensure project is delivered to programme.

This contractor is best known for their delivery of quality mission critical infrastructure, particularly in the data centre and pharmaceutical industry and have built strong relationships with some of the industry’s biggest players, positioning them well to continue this growth.

£75-85k DOE + package

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

  • Key liaison with Client, ensuring Client is regularly updated.

  • Instruct, lead, and direct the project staff with respect to construction, contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Effective management and co-ordination of subcontractors and ensure all personnel on site conduct their duties to the highest standards.

  • Manage day to day operational duties.

  • Continually improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas.

  • Build, grow and develop business relationships for the success of the project

  • Provide feedback and record information from the project for ‘lessons learnt seminars’ and for continuous staff development.

    Job Requirements

  • 6+ years Project Lead experience

  • Data Centre experience desirable but not a necessity

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Commercially astute

  • Strong ability to grow and maintain client and contractor relationships

  • Strong Fit Out Background essential
