Job Summary
As a Filtration Business Leader, you will have a unique opportunity to lead the ramp-up of a new filtration business including liquid, gas, and sterile filtration as well as compressor related air, oil filtration and separation.
This role will be focused on commercial activities in the beginning and expand to full P&L as the business develops and will report to the head of Air Treatment, OEM and Marine business leader and form part of the business unit leadership team.
The Filtration Business Leader will start by defining a go-to-market strategy, including target customer segments, such as pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and gas sectors, to achieve an aggressive market share expansion.
The role will also develop the filtration operational set-up together with the leadership team including investment plans related to production capacity, machinery, and facilities, playing a key role in setting up the sourcing strategies and supply chain networks.
Responsibilities
Create and implement Filtration business strategy including operational, production capacity and facility as well as supplier network building
Establish commercial operational processes for the filtration business (CRM, account management, sales KPIs)
Develop organization structures and competencies needed for future scaling.
Recruit, onboard, and lead a commercial organization.
Drive development of required organizational capabilities, including certifications to meet industry specific regulations and quality standards.
Identify and maintain market intelligence related activities, such as competitor, customer and supplier knowledge, as well as potential partnerships and acquisition opportunities
Qualifications/Key competencies
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, business administration or related field.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in a senior position within process filtration or related fields (pharma, food & beverage, biotech, industrial gases, industrial filtration).
Demonstrated success in building or scaling a business (greenfield, brownfield, or turnaround).
Strong background in operations and supply chain management.
Solid understanding of cleanroom design, testing facilities, quality certifications, and validation requirements for regulated industries.
Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability.
Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills.
Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
Commercially astute with P&L management experience.
We also appreciate experience in M&A as well as in working with startup or new business units inside multinational corporations
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Hybrid with frequent travel required between 50% - 75%
