We have a unique opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects. Our client, a Facilities Management company, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead key engineering initiatives across their water-based assets. The role will be mainly based at the company’s offices in East London with one day a week offered on a hybrid basis.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Engineering Project Manager will take the lead on delivering critical engineering projects, managing preventative maintenance programmes and ensuring the ongoing renewal of the company’s assets.

The main responsibilities will be:

Leading the delivery of major engineering projects including sluice gate refurbishments, bridge works, and new marina services. Overseeing third-party engineering and maintenance contracts to ensure best value and asset protection. Developing and executing detailed project plans ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in line with health and safety standards. Building strong stakeholder relationships to support successful project outcomes. Managing budgets, procurement processes, and supplier evaluations. Overseeing the internal engineering team and managing all external contractors.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience within a Project Management role, ideally with hydraulic asset knowledge.

Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety

Solid understanding of H&S legislation and best practice.

Previous success in budget control and risk/value engineering.

Track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing suppliers/contracts.

The role is offered with a salary of up to £75,000 plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension, annual bonus scheme, free onsite parking and death in service benefit.
