At NPP, we are currently working with one of our market leading clients who are seeking an Industrial Electrical Supervisor to take the lead on a variety of small works projects across a site within the food & beverage manufacturing sector (other process industries such as pharmaceutical or automotive will also be considered).



This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who wants to progress towards an Operations Manager role. You will be responsible for delivering electrical installation projects valued around £15k–£35k, managing a small on-site team (typically around 5 engineers) while being part of a larger team of up to 65 on site.



What you’ll be doing:





  • Overseeing electrical installations in an industrial environment (food manufacturing experience highly desirable)




  • Quoting and delivering small works projects typically valued up to £25–£35k




  • Building strong working relationships with client Project Managers




  • Preparing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)




  • Planning and managing small projects to tight timescales




  • Auditing ongoing works to ensure compliance with SHEQ standards




  • Selecting and ordering materials and hire equipment




  • Arranging suitable labour for each project




  • Supervising and supporting your team to deliver high-quality results




  • Fault finding, testing and modifying control panels as required




  • Completing timesheets and project documentation accurately





What we’re looking for:





  • Fully qualified to BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition)




  • Strong experience in electrical installation within an industrial setting




  • Experiencein control and automation, including building and modifying control panels




  • Knowledge of BS 60204 (Electrical equipment of machines/control panels)




  • Confident in fault finding and testing to BS 7671




  • Able to read and interpret schematic drawings




  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working to tight timescales




  • Able to produce clear, accurate quotations and project plans




  • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and client engineers




  • Proven experience supervising teams and managing subcontractors where needed
