Electrical Storeman Opportunity - Leading M&E Contractor - Major Pharmaceutical Development - Oxford

MK Search are working closely with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of c. £150m who are looking to recruit an Electrical Storeman for a flagship pharmaceutical project in Oxford. The project consists of £20m of MEP delivery and is expected to run for at least another year, with further work upcoming in the region.

You will be responsible for conducting all administration with regard to purchasing, ordering, processing for payment, and vendor compliance. You will also have an overview of the receipt, storage and distribution of goods in accordance with company standards, as well as general maintenance and good housekeeping of the store.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Take in and check all deliveries in line with bi weekly/monthly orders and reconcile any issues or inconsistencies.

  • Confirm goods received are stored in accordance with company standards and highlight and note any variances.

  • Check quantities and inspect items. Arrange drop off points for goods on site.

  • Store or distribute goods to sites as required.

  • Ensure that all relevant personnel are notified of delivers and location of stores

  • Liaise with colleagues and suppliers on issues of product quantity or quality and take measures to reduce the level of redundant stock.

  • Perform relevant ad-hoc cleaning duties.

  • Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.

  • Load out the sites as required.

  • Open store before site staff arrive each day.

    Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.

  • Excellent IT skills, using Word, Excel, Outlook and Stores System

  • Ability to build rapport with colleagues and other teams

  • Ability to use initiative
