Electrical Site Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Facility – London

A leading engineering contractor with extensive experience delivering high-specification, process-critical environments is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor for a major pharmaceutical project in London.

This permanent, site-based role is ideal for a trade-qualified supervisor with a strong understanding of electrical systems within GMP environments, who takes pride in delivering projects that meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will oversee daily site activities, support the commissioning phase, and ensure strict adherence to EHS protocols and pharmaceutical quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day execution of electrical works, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with design, project scope, and GMP standards.
  
  
• Coordinate electricians and subcontractors, managing productivity, safety briefings, and task assignments.
  
  
• Enforce rigorous EHS standards, including RAMS review, SPA preparation, permit-to-work oversight, and proactive hazard management across all work zones.
  
  
• Drive quality assurance, including ITP adherence, redline drawing control, audit preparation, installation verification, and timely resolution of snag items.
  
  
• Maintain cleanroom and classified zone compliance protocols during all electrical activities.
  
  
• Conduct toolbox talks, contribute to behavioural safety programmes, and lead by example in promoting a safety-first site culture.
  
  
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in safe working order, and all installation works are performed per manufacturer and regulatory specifications.
  
  
• Support procurement tracking and material verification processes, ensuring deliveries meet specification and timeline requirements.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with other disciplines to prevent rework, ensure cleanliness and organisation, and prepare zones for walkdowns and handover milestones.
  
  Candidate Requirements:
  
  
• Recognised electrical trade qualification or equivalent technical background.
  
  
• 5+ years’ supervisory experience on large-scale projects, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, cleanroom, or regulated environments.
  
  
• Deep knowledge of electrical containment, cabling, terminations, and system commissioning within GMP standards.
  
  
• Strong understanding of UK EHS legislation, RAMS, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and electrical permit protocols.
  
  
• Experienced in maintaining QA documentation, test pack reviews, and working within ISO or GxP frameworks.
  
  
• Confident communicator with the ability to lead diverse site teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  
  
• Commutable to London and available for a full-time, site-based role.
