Our client is a renowned international contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-value, technically complex projects.

With a strong focus on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, and Life Science developments, they are renowned for engineering excellence and consistent project success.

Following the award of a significant new data centre project in South Wales, they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join their dynamic delivery team. The Electrical Package Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of all electrical systems within the project, from design through to commissioning. The role demands leadership, technical knowledge, and coordination skills to ensure that electrical scopes are delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Management of Electrical Scope and Deliverables

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of electrical works on-site.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and contractual obligations.

  • Manage procurement and delivery of electrical materials and equipment.

    Coordination with Contractors and Stakeholders

  • Act as the main interface between electrical subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.

  • Communicate progress updates and manage coordination issues across disciplines.

  • Chair and contribute to regular technical and progress meetings.

    Budget and Schedule Management

  • Monitor and control electrical work budgets, tracking expenditures and variances.

  • Maintain the project programme related to electrical works and take corrective action when needed.

  • Support commercial teams with valuations, variations, and forecasting.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Implement and oversee quality control processes for electrical installations.

  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company QA/QC procedures.

  • Support commissioning and handover processes with robust documentation and inspections.

    Risk Management and Problem Resolution

  • Identify and mitigate risks affecting the electrical scope.

  • Resolve technical and logistical issues quickly to prevent project delays.

  • Ensure all health and safety policies are upheld on-site.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centres or complex M&E schemes.

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and infrastructure.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and health and safety requirements.

  • Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred).

  • Ability to work in South Wales full-time on a site-based role
