Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Design EngineersLocation: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.Package:EC&I Design Engineers - £39,280 - £58,920 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)Senior EC&I Design Engineers - £49,480 - £78,200 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.Let us introduce the roleAWE is recruiting for several different roles across the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Specialist Function. These roles include EC&I Design, Electrical design Engineers and Senior EC&I Design Engineers.AWE is upgrading and replacing a wide range of facilities with unique requirements and challenges. These are exciting times, so if you want to be part of a team, delivering one-of-a-kind projects, we have a wide range of opportunities open for you.Who are we looking for? We do need you to have the following: A Degree, HND/HNC or an equivalent vocational qualification, in an engineering disciplineExperience of working within a project environmentExperience in preparing technical reports and documentsKnowledge of developing, testing and evaluating engineering designsGood written, verbal and presentation skillsExperience/understanding of any of the following would be advantageous, but not essential as role specific training will be given:CEng, IEng or be working towards professional registrationMembership or associate Membership of a Professional Engineering InstitutionFamiliarity with British and ISO StandardsProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) including configuration management and quality controlA good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSAWA), Construction Design Management (CDM), risk assessments, Electricity at Work Regulations (EWR)Experience of Safety Cases or working in a highly regulated (e.g. Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Oil and Gas) industry would be beneficialExperience working in 2D and 3D CADEveryone who works at AWE brings unique skills and perspectives to the table.
