Electrical Commissioning Manager Commercial Central London
Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.
Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to join their team based on a Commercial build in Central London.
Responsibilities
Plan and Lead Electrical Commissioning Activities
Develop and manage the electrical commissioning programme in line with project milestones, ensuring all systems including LV distribution, life safety, lighting, and controls are tested, energised, and handed over safely and efficiently.
Coordinate with Project and Specialist Teams
Liaise closely with project engineers, site managers, QA/QC teams, and specialist subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of commissioning into the construction schedule.
Oversee Testing, Witnessing & Certification
Manage the execution and witnessing of all required tests, ensuring documentation is completed to meet client, consultant, and regulatory requirements for system sign-off and handover.
Interface with Client and Stakeholders
Represent the commissioning function in client meetings, site walkdowns, and technical workshops, providing updates and ensuring alignment across all key stakeholders.
Ensure Compliance and Quality Control
Guarantee all electrical commissioning works adhere to project specifications, British Standards, and health & safety regulations, delivering a snag-free, technically complete handover package.
Requirements
Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
Must have 10+ years experience in a similar role on Large-scale construction projects
Must have UK Passport or RTW in the UK
