Overview

We are seeking an accomplished and motivated Head of Clinical Science to lead our Clinical Development team and drive the scientific strategy of our clinical programs. This role is critical in providing scientific oversight for ongoing and upcoming clinical studies, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and fostering strong relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders (KOLs).


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic scientific leadership across clinical development programs.
  • Oversee and guide Clinical Scientists, ensuring high-quality scientific input throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, medical monitors, data management, and biostatistics, to ensure seamless execution of trials.
  • Conduct and oversee investigator engagement through regular site visits, strengthening scientific collaboration and protocol adherence.
  • Lead the scientific review and interpretation of clinical data, ensuring consistency and integrity.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols, study reports, regulatory submissions (INDs, NDAs), and related documents.
  • Organize and lead scientific advisory boards and KOL meetings to support program strategy.
  • Support safety monitoring activities, including review of adverse events and participation in safety review meetings.
  • Drive publication strategy, including abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
  • Plan for team growth and mentor Clinical Science personnel to build functional excellence.

Qualifications

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent in a scientific or clinical field, with a strong preference for neuroscience or psychiatry expertise.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in clinical science within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven success driving late-phase (Phase 2/3) clinical development programs.
  • Strong background in collaborating with investigators and KOLs, particularly in CNS therapeutic areas.
