About the role

As Digital Content Director, you will play a vital editorial role in refining and polishing content for an international diamond and jewellery brand. You will support the content team by ensuring all copy meets the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, tone and SEO performance, and help shape the editorial direction of the brand through mentorship, insight and excellence.

This role demands deep familiarity with the world of diamonds and fine jewellery—understanding the terminology, craftsmanship, and luxury storytelling required to elevate content for a sophisticated, global audience, particularly in the US. You will act as a guardian of editorial excellence, ensuring every piece reflects the brand’s authority, elegance and heritage.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee content projects across web and social from end-to-end, set up to always on or completion to ensure smooth delivery and content excellence is maintained.
  • Work to establish operations for content projects, including RACIs, team structure, processes and workflows.
  • Establish and refine digital content strategies across platforms including web and social according to the needs of the client, liaising with SEO and social media teams.
  • Ensure that there is a clear reporting structure for editorial successes each month.
  • Review & maintain processes of content creation on a regular basis.
  • Work with the Content Strategist on the development and revision of content strategies for each new/existing content project
  • Lead on digital publishing insights gathering (search, social, market, consumer) to inform the direction of our content creation formats & internal service offering.
  • Setting and monitoring editorial TOV for our clients, where required.
  • Working with the Content Strategist and Head of Content on new business delivery, providing written copy and informing editorial best practices & TOV.
  • Participating in ideation sessions for content creation, where required.
  • Interviewing for senior editorial resources for our content teams.
  • Setting and monitoring best practices for our content projects.
  • Leading content teams of different disciplines including editorial and social and guiding them on what good looks like from a performance and quality point of view.
  • Delivering the highest quality content, based on performance analytics to the client each month.
  • Supporting the planning, creation, scheduling, and reporting of editorial content production.
  • Work with the wider content department leads (strategy, editorial, Digital PR) on creating efficient WoW to deliver content excellence.

About you

  • You bring 5+ years’ experience leading and developing high-performing content teams, with a collaborative, mentoring style and a focus on delivery at pace.
  • You have deep editorial and social media expertise, with a proven ability to shape storytelling across platforms - from social to website, and CRM.
  • You’re fluent in omnichannel content planning and strategy, and understand how to activate narratives cohesively across platforms.
  • You have a strong grasp of SEO strategy and performance content, using data to inform content creation and drive measurable results.
  • You’ve worked across a range of sectors—including food and drink, health and wellbeing, pharmaceuticals and luxury—and know how to adapt tone, compliance, and storytelling to each audience.
