Bespak is looking for a Development Engineer for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent, hybrid role is between £44k and £52k plus a discretionary annual bonus. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
We offer a Relocation Package for anyone looking to move into the area and can offer skilled worker visa sponsorship to eligible candidates. Working Pattern Mon to Fri Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible and look at what works for you within the needs of the business. As a Development Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative combination products and drug delivery devices, including precision-moulded parts. You'll actively participate in technical projects, applying robust design techniques from concept to industrialisation, ensuring products meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include contributing to design briefs, conducting testing, and providing technical support, all while adhering to quality systems and driving continuous improvement. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to deliver successful product development outcomes.
As a Development Engineer your duties will include:
Assist in the design and development of devices.
Participate actively in technical project assignments.
Apply robust design techniques from concept to industrialisation.
Contribute to product design briefs and material specification.
Conduct testing and provide crucial technical support.
Collaborate with teams to ensure successful product outcomes.
Development Engineer , preferred key skills and experience:
Relevant qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline.
Basic understanding of robust design methodologies.
Ability to deliver precision products into manufacturing.
Understanding of project management and 3D CAD systems.
Knowledge of appropriate quality and regulatory demands.
Good listening and effective communication abilities.

We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves.
Kings Lynn is a market town steeped in history with an hourly direct rail link to Cambridge (1 hour) and London (2 hours). The location is close to the beautiful Norfolk coastline and is an hours drive to the cities of Norwich and Peterborough. The population is nearly 43,000 and offers various amenities, including supermarkets, a shopping centre, restaurants, 9 junior schools 3 high schools, 5 GP practices, a hospital and College.
This role could suit someone with experience as a Product Development Engineer, Design Engineer, Manufacturing Technician, Development Technician, Component Design Engineer, or a Production Engineer.
