Data Centre Shift Manager - HV

We’re partnered with a leading Maintenance Provider who are looking to add an experienced Data Centre Shift Manager to their established team in Hounslow. Please note, you must have experience of working senior positions within a Data Centre and ideally hold a HV ticket to be considered for this position. 

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shift, ensuring the delivery of both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive works across Building Services Systems at the contracted site.

Role Responsibilities:

Ensure all Customer-Specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met through effective control and execution of deliverables.
Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Managed Services function by collaborating with colleagues to implement departmental strategies, objectives, and process enhancements.
Participate in a 24/7 shift rota, covering operations year-round (365 days), and provide cover for other shift members when required.
Management of sub-contractors
Operate the Permit to Work System in compliance with the companies Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client-specific requirements (or approved client systems).
Ensure prompt resolution of plant faults and defects to maintain all equipment in a fully operational and serviceable condition.
Escalate site incidents or concerns to the Engineering Manager in line with the established site escalation procedures.
Conduct routine quality inspections of workforce activities, including record keeping and general housekeeping, to ensure high standards are maintained.
Ensure the availability of appropriate spare parts to support effective maintenance of all plant and equipment.
Monitor and manage building environmental conditions through the BMS/Ignition System to maintain optimal internal environments.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance records, including the completion of job sheets for all tasks undertaken.
Prepare, review, and enforce the use of Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks to ensure adherence to safe working practices.
Supervise and oversee sub-contractors performing maintenance or emergency repairs on site, ensuring they follow all relevant Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Ensure the site is running H&S compliant. Requirements for the position:

HV Authorised or previously held HV
Experienced in leading a team of engineers within a Data Centre environment or Critical environment (Banking, Pharmaceutical)
City & Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 (Or equivalent) & 18th Edition
Strong H&S understanding Salary and benefits:

Base salary of up to £67,000 + 3 - 4 % bonus to take the salary up to £70,000

Working on a day’s & night’s continental shift pattern (6:30 - 6:30)
23 Days holiday
