We’re hiring a Credit Controller to join our team at Compliance Group. This role would suit those individuals who wish to work remotely but visit one of our group organisations twice a week.

What you receive for joining us:

We’re offering a salary between £24,000 and £27,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a strong package designed to support you both in and out of work that we’re happy to tell you about.  

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

Provide financial and administrative support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders by ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial data in line with company policies and statutory reporting requirements. Prepare weekly bank reconciliations for both receipts and payments accounts, allocate daily bank receipts to customer accounts, and update the cashflow spreadsheet with daily transactions
Maintain debtor days below 50 by creating aged debt reports, chasing outstanding balances, handling customer queries promptly, and escalating overdue debts when necessary. Continuously manage debtor balances and upload invoices to customer finance portals where no direct contact is available
Assist with financial duties across both ARA and PH Water entities within the Water division. Actively contribute to continuous improvement processes and the achievement of wider business objectives
Represent the company professionally both internally and externally. Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy, maintain safe working practices, and report accidents or near misses in accordance with safety proceduresCan you show experience in some of these areas:

Strong academic background with some experience in finance and credit control. Competent in bank account reconciliations, with a good understanding of accounting principles and processes
Comfortable on the phone and possesses strong communication skills. A reliable team player with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
Exceptional analytical and numerical abilities, high attention to detail, and a solid level of accounting expertise. Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel
Positive attitude, quick to pick up new procedures, and adaptable to a challenging, fast-paced environment.
