Control Panel/Equipment Test Engineer - St. Helens - £38,000 plus excellent benefits

This company, a National player in the Engineering and Maintenance world, require a Control Panel/Equipment Test Engineer to cover their prestigious client site in St. Helens. An outstanding opportunity to become part of a leading Engineering and Maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables and food & beverage markets.

Salary: £42,000 plus excellent benefits

Benefits: 25 Days Holiday + BH, Company Pension, Life Assurance, Sick Pay, Employee Assistance Program, Employee Discount Scheme.

Location: St. Helens

Hours of work: 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday.

Control Panel/Equipment Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Inspection, Test and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels/systems in house.
  • To ensure all work is completed to specification and deadlines.
  • Liaise with the customer on site to ensure completion of the works.
  • To assist in the building and wiring of control panels when required.

The successful candidate:

  • Hold City & Guilds- 2391 Test & Inspection.
  • Hold City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition.
  • Time served electrician/instrument technician.
  • Experience of testing industrial control panels, on site installation work, commissioning of systems, instrumentation and control panel wiring.
  • Small bore pipe pressure testing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 3 phase systems, MCC control panels, PLC systems and schematics drawings.
