Pharmacy Technician

Medacy is looking to recruit clinical pharmacists to support practices whilst working from home.


Just so you know, this is a permanent opportunity, and we are not seeking to engage on a locum basis.


We have opportunities in SystmOne and Emis practices.


The role will involve playing a full and active role as part of the practice's multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • Independent Presciber Status
  • Previous GP Practice experience
  • At least three years of post-graduate experience
  • Excellent Clinical knowledge
  • The commitment to continue learning and developing.
  • The confidence to work as part of a busy GP practice
  • The ability to adapt to convey information to patients and fellow healthcare professionals.
  • The minimum requirement is 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Complete medication reviews
  • Process specialist treatment letters
  • Care home support
  • Support practice dispensary
  • Process hospital discharge letters
  • Serve as the primary point of contact in practice for all medication-related inquiries.


Qualifications and Skills

  • The ability to adapt your style to convey information to fellow healthcare professionals and the most challenging patients
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Hold Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to CPD
  • Clinical Diploma is beneficial but not essential
  • Independent Prescriber essential
