Hobson Prior is seeking a Clinical Operations Lead to join a dynamic team on a 6-month contract in Welwyn Garden City. In this role, you will oversee the operational aspects of clinical studies, ensuring they are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulations. You will play a key role in improving the clinical trial experience for patients, caregivers, and site staff while contributing to impactful work that supports a robust development portfolio.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all operational aspects of one or more clinical studies from start-up to close-down, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulations.
  • Act as the UK representative on the global study team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical trial sites and oversee recruitment efforts within the UK.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the local study team, including Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).
  • Collaborate with local Medical Affairs colleagues and other relevant teams to ensure smooth study operations, including feasibility, start-up, and site payments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of studies within the UK, maintaining quality, compliance, and diversity goals.
  • Oversee study timelines, budgets, risk management, and operational plans, including inclusive research initiatives.
  • Partner with global and local teams to address questions from regulatory bodies, ethics committees, and auditors, ensuring consistency and best practices throughout the study.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulations, including ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage study teams and timelines effectively.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing study budgets, risks, and operational plans.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance and quality.
