You will beresponsible for leading the operations of our scientific team andmanaging their research and development work. We are a growingcompany, and we are looking for someone to collaborate with boththe company's leadership (Directors) and team members to bring usto the next level. You will coordinate our team of high-performingprofessionals to be efficient, effective and productive. You excelin product and people management. You are an independent problemsolver who likes to take the initiative and enjoys bringing ideasto fruition. Tasks Product Strategy - Execute and help develop theproduct roadmap aligned with market needs, technology trends, andbusiness objectives. Leadership: - Lead laboratory operations andguide the research and development activities of the company. -Help set the scientific strategies and research direction. - Act asa liaison across a cross-functional team, ensuring the properexecution of plans to deliver high-quality products within definedtimelines. Product Development: - Collaborate and coordinatebetween R&D, engineering, and design teams to bring innovativeproducts from concept to launch. - Drive scientific innovation andensure that the company stays at the forefront of scientificadvancements. Team Management: - Manage, help recruit, and lead theday-to-day activities of the scientific team, includingresearchers, scientists, computational scientists, engineers, andtechnicians. - Support and mentor team members, fostering a cultureof innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Intellectual Propertyand Regulatory Affairs: - Manage intellectual property, such aspatents, and ensure that the company's end product complies withregulatory requirements. - Implement quality by design, control,and quality assurance measures to maintain scientific rigor andreproducibility in research and development processes as well asproduction. Scientific Collaboration: - Build and maintaincollaborations with academic institutions, research organizations,and industry partners to advance the company's scientificobjectives. Requirements - Relevant PhD or equivalent workexperience in a relevant subject such as BioProcess Engineering,Biochemical Engineering, Natural Sciences, Biotechnology, orChemical Engineering. - Strong understanding and significanthands-on experience in cell line development, iPSC culture, mediadevelopment, bioprocess development, bioreactor development,mammalian cell culture, tissue engineering andbiomaterials/scaffolding development. - Significant experience withbioreactor operation, process development, and scale-up. - Provenexperience (4+ years) in product management or a related rolewithin the bioprocessing, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticalindustry. - Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teamsand delivering products from conception to market. - Experiencetaking new biotechnology products from lab to market. - Excellentcommunication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Aresilient and can-do mindset to inspire and lead the team. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adaptingquickly to changing needs and priorities. - Strong interpersonalskills to build relationships and teamwork skills. - Ability todeliver on established plans and grant projects as well as goalsset by the Directors even if the plans didn't come from you.Benefits Competitive salary 26 holidays (not including bankholidays) and pension plan Flexible hours Highly competitive stockoption plan Potential for excellent career progression Contributeto the development of cutting-edge technologies and work with theleaders in the field.
