Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)


Licensing negotiation or M&D style experience in biotech and pharmaceuticals is highly preferred for this role.


Location:

  • UK home based preferred.
  • Geographical mobility required for:
  • Visits to clients, collaborators and to attend conferences in the UK and globally.
  • Visits to company labs based at Science Creates, Bristol, UK.
  • Other visits e.g. to attend company strategy days and advisory boards.


Days per week:4-5 days per week (negotiable).

Position Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead our commercialization strategy and drive revenue growth through partnering with companies in animal health and human health, including CDMOs and biosimilar players.

As CCO, you will be responsible for refining and executing the go-to-market strategy, forging strategic, revenue-generating, commercial partnerships with vaccine and antibody developers and manufacturers in animal and human health. The potential customer base includes global and regional players.

You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to establish EnsiliTech’s technology as the key thermal stability option in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive adoption of EnsiliTech’s manufacturing technology in vaccine and antibody production, in support of the current business plan.
  • Secure revenue generating partnerships with animal health, human health, CDMOs, biosimilar companies and other organisations.
  • Negotiate licensing agreements, including fees, milestones and royalties, as appropriate.
  • Optimise EnsiliTech’s pricing model.
  • Build and scale a commercial team, including sales, marketing, and business development functions, as appropriate.
  • Work closely with R&D team to align commercialization efforts with current and future innovations.
  • Work closely with R&D team to support grant applications, as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute pricing models, sales forecasts, and revenue targets to ensure sustainable growth.
  • In co-operation with CTO, develop a regulatory strategy and a competitor strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and key networking events to drive commercialisation and growth.


Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Track record of success in commercial roles within the biopharmaceutical industry, ideally involving partnering and licensing.

  • Track record of successfully launching and commercializing biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure high-value business agreements and partnerships.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth biotech.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
