This role is based in Madrid, Spain (relocation package available)


c €130k – c €150k pa together with full benefits package including bonus, LTIP, medical cover, pension plan and relocation package if applicable.


This is a unique opportunity for a Director of Total Rewards with substantial experience driving a diverse range of programmes and initiatives across the complete Total Rewards spectrum, ideally with a critical focus on Executive Compensation and International Mobility.

These are exciting times:- they have a clear strategic plan and are well positioned for long term growth, driving key initiatives within a number of critical market sectors. As such, they are looking to appoint a high calibreDirector of Total Rewardsto this exciting role, who will own and evolve the Total Rewards strategy and activities globally and lead key initiatives in critical areas including Executive Compensation and International Mobility.


Responsibilities:


• Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer andbased at the organisation’s HQ in Madrid,this is a hands-on influential role with both an operational and strategic bias.


• You will be required to lead full end to end global Total Rewards activities ensuring initiatives are future proofed and aligned with the company’s business strategy and goals.


• This will therefore include amongst others; Total Rewards Strategy, Executive Compensation, International Mobility, Compensation Management, Benefits Planning and Administration, Compliance and Governance, Performance Management, Job Grading/Evaluation and Vendor Management etc.


• Accountable for all data analytics and benchmarking all Total Rewards activities.


• Identify opportunities, technology and tools to enable the business to lead on process improvement initiatives and best practice in all aspects of Total Rewards.


• Perform a deep analysis of the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing programmes, initiatives and model and the potential impact of others.


Person:


• Roles of this type are rare and we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate an acute appreciation of contemporary Total Rewards tools and techniques and critical insight.


• You will have substantial experience driving a diverse range of programmes and initiatives across the complete Total Rewards spectrum, ideally with a critical focus on Executive Compensation and International Mobility where you can pinpoint sustainable and tangible improvements.


• You will enjoy an environment where standards are high and where improved organisational performance and profit enhancement is a business imperative.


• Your background will therefore most likely have been gained in a substantial global, forward thinking organisation and most likely within a best in class industry sector i.e. manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, food and drink, pharmaceutical, aviation etc.), logistics, oil and gas or other world class industry vertical. Alternatively, you may also be working within a Remuneration Consultancy firm with high expertise in driving complex initiatives for a range of high profile clients.


• With extensive stakeholder management experience, you will challenge the status quo, and demonstrate critical insight whilst being expected to lead high impact change initiatives linked to the values and culture of the organisation.


• Fluency in English is essential (Spanish and/or French in addition would also be an advantage).


• Intuitive, tactical, commercial and credible in equal measure, you will have a passion for growth and will be distinguished by your ability to achieve excellence within the Total Rewards agenda.
