About the Role:We are looking for a Chemical Regulatory Affairs Specialist (f/m/d) to join the team, providing expertise on chemicals, regulations, material composition and material chain of custody. This key role supports the businesses to develop, make and sell products globally. You will be working in partnership with the current specialists to support global teams to execute, initiate, develop, and implement operational and business processes to assess and manage risk to assure that our products are following legal requirements as well as meeting industry and customer requirements. This role will focus in Europe supporting our Aerospace and Defense and Automotive markets.

This position will be located at our facilities in Dundee or Livingston, UK, with work from home days possible as part of a hybrid arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain an understanding of global chemical regulations as well as industry and customer requirements regarding chemicals and materials Build and maintain a fundamental understanding of raw materials and components used to manufacture and process products to ensure compliance throughout the lifecycle Assessing suppliers, including engaging with supplier contacts, reviewing of supplier compliance documentation and translation of supplier information into Gore compliance information Engage and partner with supply chain, quality, sales and technical team members Perform routine and regular data gathering, entry and management Execute processes in alignment with role expectations (e.g., Supplier surveys and product content details – industry portals, e.g. IMDS and ChemSherpa) Prepare correspondence as needed, e.g. compliance declarations, supplier surveys, product safety information Review and feedback on relevant process documentation (Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.) Identify and drive changes to improve data collection processes

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor of Science in related field, such as Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Science, or equivalent experience Ability to determine priorities, adapt to changing priorities, and complete tasks within established timelines Proven ability to follow work instructions and procedures, attention to detail and follow-through Demonstrated expertise in data management tools (Excel, pivot tables, etc.) Understanding of risk management waterline including tolerable/intolerable risk Proven problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills Ability to prepare and submit reports, execute, and maintain processes Self-motivated with the ability to contribute to a team environment Travel: 10-20%, plus willingness for a longer stay abroad for training

Desired Qualifications: 

Knowledge of: Management systems (ISO14001, 45001 or similar), PLM and ERP (SAP) systems Chemical, regulatory knowledge in aerospace, defense, automotive markets Working knowledge of German
