Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development & Project Manager to drive commercial operations and project execution in Italy and France. Based in London, this role will be responsible for managing some strategic alliances (distributor, consignee relationships), new product launches, and the regional market share and portfolio growth. The ideal candidate will have a good background in pharmaceutical business development, spoken and written fluency in Italian and French, and experience in project management with a strong willingness to adapt, learn and grow the business.


Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

  • Lead and operationalize cross-functional projects including new product launches, successful commercialization and tracking in-market partner activities to support them in driving growth.
  • Timely delivery of project milestones through structured planning, stakeholder coordination, and while mitigating any risks.
  • Develop and track project timelines, deliverables, and forecasts; report to business leadership.

2. Business Development

  • Nurture and grow the existing partnerships in Italy & France, to drive sales and market share
  • Engage with customers to identify new product opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support negotiations and execution of commercial agreements with the partners.
  • Negotiate and close supply contracts with customers across various channels.

3. Alliance/Distributor Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the regional distribution partners.
  • Monitor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Align distributor strategies with company objectives
  • Ensure proper execution of joint business plans.
  • Review the full value creation cycle for all products along with the partner
  • Drive customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and service delivery

4. MIS, Market Analytics and Reporting

  • Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards using Excel or other tools, as needed.
  • Analyze sales, market trends, and pricing data to support business planning and forecasting.
  • Offer business insights from the market, for enabling decision making

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Regulatory, Medical, Finance, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and smooth execution of regional strategies.
  • Work directly with the Europe Business Head, understanding objectives, drive clarity and deliver business plans
  • Provide updates and insights to leadership regarding market dynamics, opportunities, and risks.


Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in business development, project management, or commercial operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Proven experience managing international markets, with a preference for exposure to Italy and France.
  • Demonstrated success in managing distributors, launching products, and driving commercial outcomes.


Skills Required:

  • Project Management:Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Business Acumen:Preferably have a sound understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, but definitely understand business / commercial strategy and ability to understand value creation process
  • Alliance Management:Experience working with distributors/ alliances, aligning goals, and managing business performance.
  • Analytical Skills:Strong / advanced MS Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets to drive insights and decisions.
  • Language Proficiency:Must be fluent in Italian and French (written and spoken); excellent communication in English is required.
  • Problem-Solving:Strong critical thinking, decision-making abilities with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Communication and Influence:Strong interpersonal & presentation skills to all stakeholder levels.
  • Adaptability:Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, multicultural environment.
  • Travel Readiness:Willingness to travel internationally (15–20%) to support operations & partnerships.
