Biomedical Scientist (Blood Sciences)

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital | Pathology | Fixed Term | Full time

Up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

As a Biomedical Scientist at our Cambridge Hospital, you’ll bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in multidisciplinary biomedical science, haematology and biochemistry. You have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You’re also a natural communicator and team player, and have the ability to understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.

As a Biomedical Scientist, you will:

Deliver quality pathology services and be prepared to take a share of covering on-call service out of hours.

Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control.

Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables.

Support the organisation in validating and assessing new equipment and developing new diagnostic procedures.
