Senior Biomedical Scientist - Quality Lead

Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Biochemistry)

Evolve are partnering with a specialist Hospital who are currently recruiting for a number of Biomedical Scientists to join their team. Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks from analysing samples to detect abnormalities to using advanced equipment like microscopes, flow cytometers or molecular analysers.

This is a 9-month contract role in multiple locations based in Dublin.

Ideal Requirements for the Biomedical Scientist

  • A degree accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)

  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or CORU to practice.

  • Be experienced working in an ISO 15189 accredited laboratory.

  • Have paediatric blood transfusion and haematology laboratory experience.

  • Experience of performing routine Molecular detection of bacteria and viruses.

    Role Responsibilities for the Biomedical Scientist

  • Be familiar with the requirements of ISO 15189 and operate within the DPLM Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 15189.

  • Participate in the timely and proper processing of all specimens received in the laboratory in accordance with procedures and prioritise urgent work.

  • Operate in compliance with current health and safety at work legislation.

  • Conduct open and honest reporting and investigation of nonconformances.
