CK Group are recruiting for a Biological Characterisation Project Lead, to join a global pharmaceutical company, on a contract basis initially for 12 months.
Salary:
£28.53 PAYE or £38.84 Umbrella, with flexibility to go higher for more experienced candidates.
Biological Characterisation Project LeadRole:

  • The position is within the Characterisation and Material Sciences (CMS) department who are responsible for the characterization of molecules/materials.
  • The focus is comprehensive detailed characterisation of proteins by techniques such as mass spectrometry, AUC and higher order structural techniques.
  • Activities will include study design, leading CQA assessments, authoring and reviewing protocols and reports, documentation management including risk assessments, resourcing and presentation of data to a wider team at project meetings.
  • Will require collaboration with characterization, formulation and DP scientists, analytical method development and stability, upstream and downstream sciences, devices, statistical, regulatory and quality assurance colleagues.
  • The role is primarily for an early phase project, but there is scope to support other later phase projects.


Your Background:

  • Experience of project representation in the characterization area and a strong understanding of protein chemistry.
  • Experienced in Mass Spectrometry and NMR.
  • A biological degree or equivalent Life Science degree.
  • Experience in antibody discovery desirable.
  • Project Management experience essential.
