We are looking for aBioinformatics Research Scientistto join ourBioinformaticsteam.
Title: Bioinformatics Research Scientist
Salary: £38,000-42,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)
Location: Research Laboratories office in Hampstead, London

Job Summary
We are looking for a bioinformatics scientist with an interest in innovation to join our team to work on our sequencing and population genetics pipelines.
The role will focus on two key areas, primarily the development of workflows for the analysis of long-read sequencing data which helps us understand HLA variation at the DNA sequencing level. Secondly the development, implementation of software for population genetics analysis of our donor registry and other large populations to better understand HLA variation at a population level.
The role combines the development of workflows alongside the opportunity to join established research projects.
We primarily use Python, so experience of this is essential. We also use NextFlow, MongoDB, Docker alongside Google Cloud Platform and Ubuntu environments – so experience with these would be advantageous.
