Job Description Pharmacy Technician – SpringfieldHospital – Bank Hours The Role We are looking for a PharmacyTechnician to join our team who are committed to delivering thehighest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, whereyou will be valued for your skills and expertise. As a key member of the department, you will support thePharmacy Manager in the provision of pharmacy services includingordering, stock control and preparation of drugs and medicines.This will include providing advice to patients and clinical staffon pharmaceutical products (within the limits of your role). Youwill be supporting the pharmacist to ensure that InpatientPrescription Record Charts are checked regularly to ensuretreatment is appropriate, both clinical and financially, that thepatient has sufficient supplies and carrying out medicinesreconciliation as needed (daily requirement). Providingstraightforward advice to patients/carers and clinical staff onpharmaceutical products. Ensuring that the agreed standards ofpatient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance withRamsay policies. Adhering to GPhC standards of conduct, ethics andperformance. It is a 64-bedded hospital all with ensuite facilities, with parent and child rooms, a 14-bed Day unitand a high dependency unit. What you will bring - NVQ3, BTEC inPharmaceutical Science of equivalent level - Member of the GeneralPharmaceutical Council (GPhC) - At least 4 GCSEs (A-C), includingEnglish maths and science or equivalent qualifications - Soundwritten and verbal communication skills - Proven ability to workeffectively in a team environment and independently as required -Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of thebusiness - Demonstrated Customer Service skills - DemonstratedComputer skills It would also be desirable for the application tohave experience working in a hospital environment.
