We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Bullingdon. HMP Bullingdon is a category B Prison located inBicester, Oxfordshire.The prison houses around 1,110 patients with a variety of complex mental health and physical needs.
Within this role you will be delivering clinical screening and structured medication reviews. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery ofhigh quality prison pharmaceutical service.
Hours
Monday to Friday - 8:30 - 16:30
This is a bank position with an hourly salary of £29.75

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Masters Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team. Youll have a flexible approach to working within a team that encourages new ideas.

Requirements
Registered Pharmacist - holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training
Although not essential, this would ideally suit an applicant with at least 1 years experience in a hospital setting.

Job responsibilities As a clinical pharmacist with Practice Plus Group you will;
Provide expert clinical advice on medicines and poly-pharmacy inline with expected standards, ensuring that safe, modern, medicines managementand medicines optimisation service are provided to patients.
Deliver an integrated, safe,legal and high quality prison pharmacy service, which will be part of acomprehensive healthcare package based on the prison population needs.
Inspire positive and aspirational leadership to the team ofpharmacy technicians and the wider healthcare team in order to create andmaintain a good working environment and facilitate staff retention.
Promote good practice in all prescribing decisions to develop andimplement improved medicines management understanding throughout the prisonhealthcare team.
Share informationrelating to pharmaceutical products, medicines management, medicinesoptimisation, medicines legislation and general health education so thatpatients and the healthcare teams are appropriately informed.
