AXON - Senior Events Manager - Medical

The Senior Events Account Manager will work across Practice Groups to manage and deliver all types of event work for existing and new AXON clients. The role spans all practices, but will predominantly serve MEDICAL clients.

A Senior Events Account Manager (SEAM) is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the event for clients. Your primary role is to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of events while maintaining strong client relationships. Overall, a Senior Events Account Manager plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional events that meet and exceed client expectations, foster positive client relationships, and contribute to the success and growth of the organisation.

Working in as a Senior Events Account Manager, you will be reasonable for planning and delivery of client events and congress activities, based both within the UK, as well as internationally. You will be responsible for all elements of the events, including developing budgets, sourcing venues, liaising with 3 rd party suppliers/vendors, organising travel, speaker logistics, financial management, smooth delivery on-site and compiling post event audit documentations.

Crucially, you will serve as a role model for compliance, particularly in relation to pharmaceutical meetings. This includes demonstrating a strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical codes and compliance frameworks (e.g., ABPI, EFPIA, or equivalent), and ensuring all event elements adhere to relevant guidelines and best practices. You will champion compliant behaviours and help maintain AXON’s reputation for integrity and excellence in highly regulated environments.

As the Events Account Manager, you will often be the main point of contact for our clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and working closely with them to understand their event objectives, requirements, and manage their expectations. You are also a critical member of the wider client account team and will work and coordinate seamless with them.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Have over 2 years’ experience working in pharmaceutical events
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure quality client delivery
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with our clients and internal teams
  • Ability and desire to negotiate with external stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as flexibility to adapt and multi-task
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work within a deadline-oriented framework
  • Experience with financial management of projects
  • Experience to create and manage registration platforms such as Cvents
  • Experience in pharmaceutical events compliance and audit close outs
  • Desire to travel and be on-site for events
