Automation Manager

Opportunity:

NIRAS is currently recruiting for an experienced Automation Manager who in collaboration with our major projects and engineering services group, will support our client, a prestigious multinational healthcare solutions and pharmaceutical products manufacturer at their leading sterile healthcare solutions manufacturing facility in Liverpool.

Based on site, the Automation Manager will be responsible for working with the project team to create, manage and implement the Automation strategy for our clients capacity expansion project. This role will report into the site Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build, support design and implement for new project, a full automation package including:-



* SCADA systems

* PLC’s

* Automated instruments

* PC Controllers

* Data Historians

* Manage digital stakeholders, internally and externally, including working with site control partner

* Ability to write URS and execute DQ / OQ / PQ activities as part of project execution.

* Ensure functional operation of Floor IT Systems hardware (PC’s, HMI’s)

* Perform Risk Management and translate results into action and implementation plans and execute.

* Data analysis of fault issues to support improvements and upgrades

* Automation project work as required outside primary project work

Education Requirements

* Electrical, Electronic or Control Systems Engineering Qualification at a HND level or higher, Degree ideal

* Engineering qualifications with suitable training and experience in above systems

* Electrician/Instrumentation/Mechatronic Technician with training and experience in above systems

* Specific training and education in engineering field and their implementation in pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Experience Requirements

* 5+ years’ experience working in project or Automation, ideally within Pharma or Food industry

* At least 5 Years experience in a similar field

* Experience working on >£5M strategic projects
