Title: Associate Scientist - Pharmacology

SRG is working with a pre-clinical CRO that specialises in the pharmacology space in Birmingham. We are on the lookout for experienced scientists or someone with a PhD in Pharmacology with in vitro pharmacology or plate-based assay experience.

The successful candidate will have recent experience within this field, including recent experience with Ligand binding assays, receptor occupancy studies, ELISA, SPR and fluorescent binding assays. You would need to be able to highlight this experience in your CV and at interview.

This is a great opportunity to secure your first role in industry, or to make a switch to an innovative CRO company working on a range of diseases.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

To perform laboratory analyses and data analysis via ELISA, SPR, Ligand Binding assays, plate-based assay
Writing of draft reports
Updating protocols
Troubleshooting assays
Operational tasks as directed by operations manager / line manager (e.g. monthly surveys / COSHH updates / receipt of radiochemicals etc.).

Skills Required:

Ideally a PhD in Pharmacology or a related discipline.
Experience with in vitro pharmacology
Demonstrable, recent experience with Ligand binding assays, receptor occupancy studies, ELISA, SPR and fluorescent binding assays
Experience with Cell culture
Experience designing and interpreting assays
Experience with Prism and Image J is Highly desirable.
