We're currently looking for an experienced interim Regional Marketing Associate Director to join our team at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. In this role you will be responsible for developing, managing and implementing of the regional marketing strategy in the EMEAI region (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India). This role will also provide support to facilitate and enable the commercial team and channel partners, to help reach the company's revenue goals and translate market insights and product knowledge into competitive strategies and tactics. The Marketing lead will work closely with their marketing and commercial colleagues to ensure alignment of focus areas to support the region's commercial goals.
The Details...
The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid understanding of the genomics market in the EMEAI region with demonstrated success in developing product market strategies, both short and medium term, including planning and executing of regional strategies for new product introductions and growing market penetration.
You will be working with the local commercial teams to prioritise marketing support across the region, reporting on marketing performance, and making data-centric action plans to increase the overall pipeline and revenue.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that are translated to operational plans across EMEAI, focusing on growing sales and increasing profitability aligned to the company's strategic priorities.
Use regional market knowledge and customer insights, articulate regional marketing strategies and identify the region's market growth opportunities to reach local vital customer segments, including the delivery of the global messaging and local deployment plans across the EMEAI region.
With the marketing ops and events team, help build the tactical plan and play an active role in the deployment of the plan. Measure, review and iterate for best practice against key critical metrics.
A key element of the role will be collecting, evaluating, reacting to, and presenting field information and customer feedback to the global teams.
Pilot, incubate, iterate profitable local programs/initiatives, and execute global marketing/commercial marketing programs across the region.
Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities, including expectation management on multiple projects.
Any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.
What We're Looking For...
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Business or Marketing.
Shown experience in marketing, demonstrable experience in development of strategic and execution of strategic marketing plans.
Solid understanding of the genomic sequencing market (several years' experience), with proven working experience with channel partners such as distributors and dealers.
Demonstrable working experience in a matrixed environment.
Experience working with marketing/sales automation tools, such as HubSpot/SFDC etc.
Can-do attitude is essential. Excellent organization and presentation skills, with an eye for details.
Strong project management skills and a passion for driving activities to a high-reaching timescale.
A detailed, focused, and analytical approach to problem solving.
