We focus on the common diseases that affect billions, the ones that put the greatest strain on our healthcare systems.

Each person is unique, and by decoding the insights in our DNA, we’re building cutting-edge tools and platforms that enable truly personalised medicine. From prevention and early screening, to diagnosis, treatment, and even the development of new medicines, there is so much more to discover and build to support people at each step of their healthcare journey.

With our leading science and brilliant partners, we can make healthcare smarter, more precise, and more personal. Our vision is bold: a world where everyone benefits from genomics. Role Purpose:

As Associate Director of Business Development, you will lead new client acquisition for our cutting-edge SaaS genomic data and analytics platform. Our solution enables pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to extract meaningful genetic insights that power R&D, accelerate decision-making, and drive innovation.

You will be a key individual contributor, responsible for identifying, pursuing, and converting high-value opportunities across pharma and biotech. Drawing on your experience selling digital or data-led solutions into life sciences, you’ll play a critical role in shaping Genomics' commercial success in this space.

A Day in the Life:

  • Focus on building and progressing a high-quality pipeline of pharma and biotech prospects
  • Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing with pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the US, UK and Europe
  • Engage senior decision-makers across R&D, commercial and data functions with a consultative, insight-driven sales approach
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams across Product, Science, Data and Marketing to shape value propositions and proposals tailored to client needs
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity and forecasting in our CRM and contribute to reporting and commercial strategy discussions
  • Stay plugged into the market by gathering competitive intelligence, understanding client priorities, and feeding insights back into the platform roadmap and go-to-market strategy

Who You Are:

  • A proven SaaS or digital health sales professional with a successful track record selling into pharmaceutical or biotech companies
  • Deeply familiar with the R&D or data and analytics environment in life sciences and confident navigating long, complex sales cycles
  • A strong communicator, able to articulate complex scientific or technical value propositions to diverse stakeholders
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative and scale-up environment
  • A relationship-builder with strategic thinking, commercial intuition and a drive to make an impact on healthcare through data and innovation

What You’ll Need:

  • Prior experience in enterprise software, SaaS or data solution sales, ideally in genomics, digital health or related areas
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting
  • A proactive, insight-led approach to market development and client engagement

What Success Looks Like:

  • Revenue from new client acquisition and platform subscriptions
  • Volume and quality of qualified leads and opportunities created
  • Sales velocity and conversion rate across new business

  • Salaries:Our salaries are externally benchmarked annually to ensure you receive compensation that aligns with the market.
  • Holiday Allowance:25 days of annual leave, an additional 3-day company shutdown at the end of the year, plus bank holidays. More time for you to unwind and enjoy.
