When you join this exciting venture, you will be working with global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product life cycle, to help them unlock the full potential of their brands.

The Commercial Practice specializes in primary market research and brand strategy development. The types of projects market research projects deliver include: Patient Journey, Segmentation, Market Understanding, Demand Assessment, and Brand Story Assessment.

About the Opportunity

As an Associate Director in Primary Market Research, you will take a leadership role in overseeing large-scale, high impact quantitative and qualitative research projects. You will manage and guide a team of analysts, collaborating directly with senior client stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role has a strong focus on Quantitative research whilst also blending strategic leadership, technical expertise, and client management experience. You'll not only be responsible for the successful execution of research projects but also play a pivotal role in business development and contribute to thought leadership within the field of research.

At this level, you will have exposure to a wide range of projects. You will also have the opportunity to decide whether to pursue a more specialized path or continue in a broader leadership role, depending on your career aspirations. The role offers a mix of formal training, mentorship, and hands-on project experience to support your development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex research projects including complex quantitative methodologies, such as segmentation, pricing and demand studies from conception through to execution, analysis, and delivery of actionable insights for clients.
  • Work closely with clients at the executive level to understand their business challenges and translate them into research objectives and strategic solutions.
  • Design and implement advanced statistical models, surveys, and data collection methodologies to address client needs, with an emphasis on innovation and rigor.
  • Oversee the analysis of large datasets to derive insights and solve complex problems.
  • Develop and deliver high-level reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations to clients, ensuring clarity and relevance to their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., medical, product, marketing) to integrate research findings into broader business strategies.
  • Stay at the forefront of research techniques and technologies, continuously advancing the company's capabilities and competitive edge.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or advanced degree – this should include life sciences, possibly with business/marketing component
  • Multiple years of experience in qualitative and quantitative primary market research, data analytics, or consulting.
  • Proven expertise in designing and executing complex quantitative research projects, with a strong grasp of survey methodology, statistical modeling, and experimental design.
  • Experience in managing teams of researchers or analysts and providing mentorship and strategic guidance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical findings in a clear, client-friendly manner.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand client needs and develop research solutions that drive business outcomes.
  • Track record of contributing to business development efforts, including proposal writing and supporting sales pitches.
