Associate Director, Biostatistics(Oncology)- UK (Hybrid)

The Role
AsAssociate Director, Biostatistics, you will play a key leadership role within cross-functional teams, supporting complex clinical and observational studies and driving statistical excellence across multiple therapeutic areas. You may act as:
- Study Statistician
- Medical Affairs Statistician
- Exploratory Statistician
- Regional Statistical Lead
- Lead Product Statistician
- Global Statistical Lead for early or backup assets
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategy, regulatory and payer submissions, and scientific publications, with a focus on innovation and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class statistical support to drug development programs and individual studies.
- Ensure consistency and quality across statistical deliverables.
- Provide strategic input for study designs, biomarker and PK/PD analyses, and data interpretation.
- Present results and insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate in planning and conducting integrated analyses and regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to due diligence efforts, methodology development, and internal training.
- Participate in cross-functional process improvements and tool validation.
- Mentor and support the development of statistical team members.
- Represent the organization externally at industry events and with academic or regulatory bodies.

You are a driven biostatistics professional with strong technical capabilities, clear communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. You are confident working independently on complex challenges and motivated by a mission to improve patient outcomes through data-driven insights.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Oncology experience essential
- Extensive experience applying statistical methods in biomedical research, pharma, CRO, academia, or healthcare.
- Deep knowledge of statistical methodologies and clinical data analysis.
- Proficiency in SAS; working knowledge of R is a plus.
- Familiarity with data management and programming processes.
- Experience in international and cross-functional environments.
- Ability to articulate and apply complex statistical methods in real-world applications.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.
