Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Associate Development Engineer. This is a unique opportunity within our R&D Commercialized Product Development Team. You will be providing technical support for our portfolio of Hip, Knee & Shoulder orthopaedic medical devices that are released and in the market. As an Associate Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the ongoing safety and efficacy of our products, while continuously enhancing their quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness after launch. This entry level position would suit someone looking to start a career in medical devices with Johnson and Johnson MedTech, the largest and most diverse medical device business in the world. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the ongoing safety and efficacy of our products in the hands of our customers and for the patients treated by them. * Maintain regulatory and quality compliance in a heavily regulated industry with constantly evolving requirements. * Support our Global Supply Chain organisation in resolving issues promptly to ensure products are available for customers worldwide. * Discover areas for ongoing enhancement in the quality, function, and cost of our devices after they are launched. * Foster a truly inclusive environment where everyone has equal opportunity to contribute and fulfil their career aspirations. Qualifications Education: • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related subject is required. Experience and Skills: Required: * Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges. * Effective communication skills to collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds and at all levels. * Strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others in a team-based setting. * Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a dynamic workload. * Understanding of risk management principles to ensure product safety is maintained. * Proficiency in conducting design verification and validation activities. Preferred: * Previous exposure to medical device product development. * An appreciation of orthopaedic medical devices and how they function. * Basic knowledge of common manufacturing methods for medical devices.
