My client is a leading sub contract fabrication firm, handling turnkey Engineering services predominantly for the Pharmaceutical and FMCG markets. They have several 20+ yearlong relationships with blue chip clients for whom they oversee full cradle to grave installation and relocation projects across the UK and are now looking to hire an Assistant Health and Safety Manager to join their South west team. The ideal candidate will come from an established H&S background, will be highly familiar with CDM regulations and will hold either their IOSH or NEBOSH.

Assistant Health and Safety Manager Job Overview

Overseeing the day-to-Day health and safety requirements
Ensuring health and Safety compliance throughout the company using internal audits and monitoring
Completing Health and Safety workshops and introductions for new and existing staff
Review supplier and sub-contractor applications and ensure supplier certification and accreditation are updated and correct
To maintain the company's conformance to CDM regulations
Manage the customer portals and accreditations ensuring they are updated accordingly, and all relevant information stored and uploaded in a timely fashion

Assistant Health and Safety Manager Job Requirements

Previous experience in a Health and Safety management position
IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
CDM experience is a must
Previous experience working in an Engineering or Manufacturing setting
IT proficient, experience using Microsoft Projects would be advantageous
Full driving licence
Prepared to travel with the role
Based locally to Bristol

Assistant Health and Safety Manager Salary & Benefits

Salary £45,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience
Working hours, Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm (40 hour working week)
28 days holiday including bank holiday
