About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aseptic Pharmacy Assistant/ATO to join our client’s team within an NHS Hospital in Merseyside. The successful candidate will support the Pharmacy Department in the preparation of sterile products, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a Monday to Friday work schedule, offering a competitive hourly rate of £14.40. The role will start in November/December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and dispensing of aseptic products, including chemotherapy and intravenous medications, in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.
Work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to support the aseptic services within the hospital.
Ensure accurate labelling, packaging, and documentation of products.
Assist in the maintenance of the aseptic suite and ensure strict cleanliness and hygiene protocols are followed.
Participate in stock management and ordering of aseptic supplies.
Provide support and training to junior staff and students when required.
Ensure a high standard of service is maintained in line with NHS policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Experience within Aseptic Pharmacy is essential for this role. Previous work in a hospital or pharmaceutical setting is highly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of practice.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
