Role Summary
As aPharmacy Dispensing Assistant and QC Tech Supportin Aseptic Services, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation andquality control of aseptic products. Your responsibilities will includeensuring the accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining high standards ofcleanliness and safety within the aseptic unit, and supporting the qualitycontrol processes essential for patient safety.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing Support:Accurately dispense medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring that all prescriptions are processed according to the established protocols and guidelines.Quality Control:Assist in the quality control processes within the Aseptic Services unit, including the preparation and maintenance of sterility in the cleanroom environment. Perform in-process checks to ensure the integrity and quality of aseptic products.Aseptic Preparation:Support the preparation of sterile products, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition, in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP regulations.Stock Management:Manage stock levels within the aseptic unit, ensuring the timely ordering and replenishment of supplies. Monitor inventory to prevent shortages and assist in the stock control processes.Data Management:Maintain accurate records of all dispensing and quality control activities. Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner and is in compliance with regulatory requirements.Training and Development:Participate in ongoing training to develop your skills in aseptic techniques and quality control. Support the training of junior staff and new team members as needed.About us

Maintain a safe working environment and report any safety concerns to the Aseptic Services Manager.Communication:Communicate effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the aseptic unit. Provide clear and accurate information regarding the status of preparations and any issues that arise.Person Specification
Qualifications & Training:
Essential: GCSE Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above (or equivalent). Desirable: Level 2 BTEC/NVQ in Pharmacy Services or Laboratory Sciences. Previous training in aseptic services, PIPC accreditation, or Science Manufacturing Process Operative Level 2.Experience:
Essential: Relevant experience in technical services or an Industry GMP-related environment. Experience working in teams and a busy environment. Desirable: Pharmacy experience in a hospital or community setting. Experience in stock control.Knowledge:
Essential: Knowledge of current legislation and regulations, including COSHH and Health and Safety at Work Act. Understanding of stock control systems and the importance of adherence to SOPs. Desirable: Knowledge of Safe and Secure Handling of Medicines requirements, patient safety initiatives, and GMP.Skills and Attributes:
Excellent communication and numeracy skills. Ability to work accurately and maintain concentration when checking detailed documents. IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office.
