Description of Role:

TWI’s Materials Performance and Integrity Group conducts an extensive range of mechanical and corrosion tests for our Industrial Members, spanning diverse sectors. These tests are carried out in a variety of challenging environments, from hydrogen gas to brines containing hydrogen sulphide. To support these critical laboratory operations, we are seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist with a specialization in wet chemistry and chemical analysis techniques to join our environmental testing and materials characterization laboratories.

As part of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality analytical results. You will use your expertise in sample preparation, solution preparation, and chemical analysis to provide accurate results and advice to our Engineers. Your work will underpin cutting-edge research and development projects across industries such as oil and gas, green energy, construction, power, and aerospace.

Proficiency in wet chemistry and chemical analysis is essential, while additional experience in electron microscopy, microanalysis, and X-ray diffraction will be considered desirable, although training in these techniques can be provided.
