Hobson Prior is seeking an Advanced Bioprocessing Scientist to join a dynamic team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will support the production of sterile gene therapy products in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant environment. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes, maintaining compliance, and contributing to the delivery of innovative biotech solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures to produce gene therapy products in a clean and sterile environment.
  • Use aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free manufacturing.
  • Monitor and maintain the facility to meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Perform routine cleaning, environmental monitoring, and stock management.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Identify and report any issues or deviations from procedures.
  • Assist with technology transfer activities for new processes.
  • Support quality control by managing materials and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Contribute to planning and organizing tasks to meet production deadlines.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Background in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with GMP practices and pharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly biologics or aseptic processes.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques and sample preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
