Role: Site Engineer

Location:Waterlooville, Hampshire

Hours:Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, flexible hours

Salary range:£40,000 - £50,000 (experience dependent)

About the role

An exciting career opportunity has arisen in the airport refuelling sector for an Industrial Control and Automation Engineer to join our Projects team in Hampshire. Reporting to the Project Team Leader, you will contribute to automation projects for key accounts, supporting the development of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software, as well as electrical maintenance on high-value projects in a dynamic industry.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to completion
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Prepare site access documentation (RAMS, methods of work, etc.)
  • Update design documents, including red mark drawings, FDS, IO schedules, etc.
  • Modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA software
  • Perform electrical fault finding and instrument replacement
  • Conduct testing with customers
  • Carry out on-site commissioning, including day and night shifts as required

The Person

  • Good working knowledge of Rockwell PLC, Schneider PLC, Wonderware (InTouch and/or System Platform)
  • Experience with SCADA platforms and HMIs, with a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Preferably, knowledge of industrial Ethernet networks, including setup, commissioning, and fault finding
  • Electrical knowledge to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams in industrial environments
