The Role
As an Account Manager, you'll be instrumental in developing and managing client relationships, driving sales opportunities, and contributing to the company's success. Working closely with the Sales Manager, your peers in Account Management, and the Client Services team, you'll help us deliver on our mission of client excellence.

About the Position
Basis:Fixed Term (12 months) & Full Time
Location:Home-based, with regular travel for client meetings and team collaboration.
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience.

The day to day

  • Manage key accounts, achieve financial targets, and nurture smaller accounts into significant partnerships.
  • Identify and seize new sales opportunities, delivering accurate quotes and achieving revenue goals.
  • Regularly meet with clients, resolve issues, and ensure proactive and excellent service delivery.
  • Provide actionable reports and market insights to support strategic planning.
  • Contribute to promotional initiatives and collaborate with the sales team to enhance performance.

The Essentials

  • A background in Client Services and/or Sales, ideally in a technical, testing, or analysis environment.
  • A proven track record of delivering client excellence with strong commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to drive your workload and meet targets.
  • A scientific degree (preferably in chemistry or environmental science) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with laboratory processes or experience in the environmental industry is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required; database knowledge is a bonus.
