Job Summary : The QRC in Newarkspecializes in the supply and overhaul of valves and controls forthe oil, gas, Power, Water and chemical industries, amongst others.Many of the valves are automated to customer specifications in ourwell- equipped workshop. Our products have a high-quality standard.Due to increasing activities and growth, we are looking for a shopfloor technician. The individual should be able to construct,assemble, automate or rebuild valves and actuators, in addition toRepairs and Services. Responsibilities: - Operating Machine orEquipment – Operate basic equipment and machines and carry outroutine tasks as per work instructions - Operations Management –Carry out operational tasks by following established processes -Equipment Maintenance and Repair - Help to maintain and repairequipment and appliances by carrying out preparations and providingassistance - Health, Safety and Environment – Follow basicmandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and thewellbeing of oneself and others - Operational Compliance – Follow astraightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carriedout to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence toexternal regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct - InternalCommunications – Exchange information with people by havingcourteous interactions with them - Other duties as assignedRequirements: - Valve knowledge - Experience in control andisolation valve assembly, actuators, accessories, automationservices, pressure testing , positioner calibration etc - Adequateknowhow to troubleshoot valves and actuators that come for repair -Familiarity with instruments - Ability to read and understandassembly, component installation and schematic drawings . - VerbalCommunication – Uses clear and effective elementary verbalcommunication skills to express ideas and request actions -Planning and Organizing – Works with guidance plan, organization,and prioritize activities to efficiently meet business objectives -Policy and Procedures - Works with guidance to understand policiesand procedures, while making sure they match organizationalstrategies and objectives - Health and Safety - Applies elementaryconcepts to manage and apply safe systems of work - EquipmentUtilization - Works to optimize the utilization of productionplant, equipment, and materials What Flowserve can offer you: - Anunique opportunity and the next step in your Flowserve career - Anice workplace where everyone collaborates and respects each other- An employer that takes care of your safety and your career Req ID: R-13111 Job Family Group : Operations Job Family : OP RepairMechanic EOE including Disability/Protected Veterans.
