Job Description As a Senior Software Engineer, youwill work as part of a Product Engineering team. At Best BuyHealth, we strive to deliver end-end customer and patient outcomesvs. narrow features. This role is remote eligible,which means you would work virtually from home or another non-BestBuy Health location. What you’ll do - You will work in one of oursoftware engineering teams, building out our platform and productfor use by patients and healthcare professionals. - You will buildscalable, well-tested applications and microservices. - You willcollaborate closely with other disciplines, including biomedicalengineering, data science, electronics engineering and productscience. - You will operate across the stack but will havesignificant back-end or data engineering experience. - You willcontribute to technical design and code reviews - You will helpprovide 24/7 support for the product, resolving live issues whenneeded - You will be responsible for a product engineering teamdelivering key objectives that enable the product to scale,directly improving healthcare provision across the world. - Youwill work closely with Product Management and ensure the team isaccountable for the outcomes delivered. You will have a firm graspon why the team is building functionality, for whom and the valueit will deliver. You will also contribute to that product visionand strategy and likely have strong natural motivation to do so. -You will be aware of the impact of your team's work on other areasof the org, including longer term architectural viability ofsolutions, as well as opportunities for wider cooperation. Basicqualifications - Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science,Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination ofeducation and/or experience - 3 years of relevant experience with aBachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experiencePreferred qualifications - You have significant previous experienceas a Software Engineer - You have a good knowledge of at least onemodern programming language - You have experience writing tests andtestable code - You are flexible and can learn on the job quickly -You enjoy solving problems and making a difference - You haveexperience delivering across managed cloud platforms such as AWS -You can pragmatically balance quality with a fast-paced schedule -You are a good team player, ready to help, debate, compromise andwork together - You are comfortable working, prototyping anddelivering incrementally, adapting based on customer needs andtechnical difficulties, always with the user in mind - You have aneye for detail and you always look at the big picture - You arecomfortable reviewing, releasing, deploying and troubleshootingyour and other people's code - Experience in the healthcareindustry or have worked with Ionic hybrid apps - Exposure ofworking with highly scalable and distributed systems What’s in itfor you We’re committed to helping our people thrive at work and athome.
