TITLE: Technical Assessor / Chemistry Graduate – Hazardous Waste

NO SECTOR EXPERIENCE OR GRAD PACKAGE: £27K, structured competency based £2k pay increases (6-month reviews), Bonus, Pension

HAZ WASTE CHEMIST EXPERIENCE: Up to £34,000

HAZ WASTE TECHNICAL ASSESSOR EXPERIENCE: Up to £38,000

HOURS: 37.5 Mon- Fri, either 7:30-4, 9-5:30 or between

ROLE: Technical Assessor / Chemistry Graduate – Hazardous Waste

This role is office based, and training will be given if required. You may occasionally visit client’s sites.

You will use your knowledge of chemistry to assess incoming waste streams based on information provided by the sales team, ensure they are classified correctly and identify correct routes and cost of disposal

This role does not involve a great deal of practical chemistry and mainly draws upon applying your chemistry knowledge

EXPERIENCE: Technical Assessor / Chemistry Graduate – Hazardous Waste

You will have a good standard of verbal and written communication, and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of directly interfacing with a client would be desirable.

Previous experience as a Technical Assessor, or other roles in the Hazardous Waste sector is desirable.

You will have a UK Driving Licence

YOU WILL HAVE HNC in Chemistry or higher. Related Subjects e.g. Biochemistry will only be considered where FOUR OR MORE modules with Chemistry IN THE TITLE were included such as organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry or inorganic chemistry.
