Malone Group is an established engineering and safety services company specialising in delivering complex projects for companies in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical and utilities sectors.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the management of multi-faceted projects involving change management, building compliance, space management, M&E structural, and process works.


Reports to: Head of Operations

Key relationships: Managing Director, Engineering and safety team


Responsibilities

  • Liaise with client stakeholders on development of scope and user requirements scope and requirements
  • Management and control of project schedule and deliverables
  • Interaction with or manage the design team and possibly representing client on some projects
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance on the site planning compliance, fire and access compliance, general safety compliance
  • Management of contractors carrying out the above functions.
  • Close liaison with the Customer on a day to day and regular formal reporting.
  • Budgetary management and control of the cost of works and services, including procurement of works and services Maintenance of standard reporting documents (Status reports, risk registers, minutes, reviews, Financial Reports).
  • Excel Pivot tables, reports, Microsoft project, work and presentation. Liaise and work with internal teams to update and maintain risk registers, project reporting and audit requirements.
  • Ensuring all work is achieved in accordance with customer requirements and the Company’s quality standards and ISO systems
  • To be responsible for the effective management of the financial and commercial aspects of the project, including sub-contractor negotiations and the completion of all project costing documentation, to mitigate financial and commercial risks to the Company
  • To maintain at all times, effective communications with the Company’s Customers and Sub-contractors and to ensure a responsible and responsive approach from all Project staff working under his management. To display and promote the highest work standards and levels of attainment during the execution of Projects.


Desirable skills

  • Production of detailed accurate 3D models based on the design engineer’s sketches, calculations and input
  • Digital processing of the design and construction stages of a project to ensure the 3D models, drawings and relevant data is hosted in one accessible place and deliver project information to all required stakeholders
  • Ability to co-ordination large teams of internal and external suppliers.
  • Generating plans, elevations and isometric drawings from the design engineer’s input while having an appreciation of civil, mechanical, electrical and process systems
  • Ability to visit sites and complete surveys to a high standard


Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience with experience in Project Management and Building Services. He/she will have appropriate MS office skills, be IT literate and have excellent organisation, communication and influencing skills. The candidate will be very motivated, a self-starter and ambitious to grow the role as the company grows.

  • Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Inventor or similar, would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of M&E services coordination is desirable
  • Knowledge and/or experience in BIM is desirable
  • The individual should be self-motivated, eager to learn and prepared to progress with the company
  • Working knowledge of risk management and systems – Primarily function covered under administration.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a multi-disciplined team to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
  • A good working knowledge of all project related Health and Safety requirements
  • Range of administrative skills required, involving the use of PCs and PC application software for word processing and spreadsheets.
